We are looking to add a new member to our Quality Assurance department. This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario.


SCOPE

Responsible for supply-chain management activities at the cell-based level. Responsible for the overall development, continuous improvement, implementation, and success of the cell based business unit both internally and externally. Responsible for the prevention, containment, and root cause resolution of product quality or process issues.


Your role...

§ Work with functional managers to develop and implement cell based systems which ensure long term satisfaction of customers, employees and shareholders

§ Run-off and implementation of cell based manufacturing equipment, in conjunction with advanced manufacturing group

§ Taking a leadership position, work closely with cell based Manufacturing Systems Technicians and production operators in resolving operational problems

§ Undertake continuous improvement projects and root cause resolution of Supplier, Production, or QOS systems problems

§ Lead and coach the Quality Technicians in order to allow all systems to fully satisfy the quality requirements of the customer and be ISO/IATF 16949 compliant

§ Ensure production cells operate in an efficient manor with appropriate error proofing, quality control systems, and a world class level for the quality of all products shipped

§ Work closely with supplier QE’s, Development Engineering personnel, and operational personnel to ensure ISO/TS 16949 compliance to AQP, PPAP, and production systems

§ Improve cell quality and productivity key indicators including scrap, thru-put, cycle time, and tool cost, and improve process control systems including the implementation of set up instructions, set up parameter sheets, set up check lists, and reaction plans

§ Work closely with customer SQE’s to ensure product quality requirements are understood and maintained throughout the supply chain

§ Responsible for cell specific FMEA, Control Plan design, Operational Controls, SPC systems

§ Responsible for final approval of PPAP submissions

§ Responsible for Weekly QOS/MRB Status Minutes Updates


Requirements

Your profile...

§ An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Applied Science or appropriate combination of related education and experience

§ Experience in manufacturing and automotive quality requirements including ISO/IATF 16949; experience to interface major OEMs: Ford, GM, FCA

§ Experience in modern quality techniques such as Error Proofing, Designed Experiments, Statistical Control, FMEA, and all automotive quality requirements including PPAP, PSO, Problem Resolution, etc.

§ Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict management and problem solving skills; Ability to interact and lead effectively at all levels of the organization
